ISOTRETINOÍNA: UTILIZAÇÃO NO TRATAMENTO SISTÊMICO DA ACNE E ASPECTOS FUNDAMENTAIS PARA A ATENÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA

Abstract

A acne é uma das doenças da pele mais freqüente entre a população, afetando cerca de 80% dos adolescentes. As lesões surgem na puberdade e acometem ambos os sexos, tendo maior incidência dos 15 aos 18 anos, podendo permanecer até idades mais avançadas (PIQUERO, 2004; HERANE,2005). É um processo cutâneo de curso crônico e se caracteriza por comedões (cravos), pápulas, pústulas e, nas formas mais graves, por abscessos, cistos e cicatrizes em graus variáveis(MINELLI & NEME, 1997; SAMPAIO & RIVITTI, 2000).
