Abstract

O termo tuberculose (TB) descreve um amplo espectro de manifestações clínicas provocadas pelo M. tuberculosise raramente pelo M. bovis (Fitzgerald; Haas,2005). Apesar de a TB ser uma doença milenar, provavelmente, ela acometeu animais antes de atingir o homem. Possivelmente através de seus derivados por leite, carne ou ainda aerossóis (MELLO; HIJJAR, 2002). A hipótesemais aceitável sugere que essa transmissão ocorreu quando bois primitivos os auroques (Bos primigenius), foram domesticados a oito mil anos (PRAT; SOUZA, 2003).
