Abstract
Os óleos essenciais são líquidos oleosos voláteis dotados de aroma forte e quase sempre agradável, provenientes do metabolismo secundário das plantas. (FERRI, 1995). São definidos como produtos obtidos das partes das plantas, sendo que de forma geral são misturas complexas de substâncias voláteis, lipofílicas, geralmente odoríferase líquidas (VERLET, 1993). Sendo voláteis, são responsáveis pelos odores dos vegetais, tendo como função polinização e proteção dos mesmos (SIMÕES, 2004).Downloads
