Abstract

A atenção dispensada ao indivíduo com Síndrome de Down pode influenciar diretamente na sua qualidade de vida, uma vez que questões bioquímicas, hematológicas, hormonais e imunológicas desempenham importante papel para o aumento da longevidade dos indivíduos possuidores dessa patologia. É necessária a elucidação de aspectos hematológicos que comprometem a qualidade de vida destes indivíduos; para tanto, realizou‑se pesquisa bibliográfica acerca do estado da arte das referidas questões, uma vez que uma fundamentação teórica se torna indispensável para o embasamento e compreensão do assunto em análise.
