Abstract

A determinação direta da taxa de filtração glomerular(TFG) é geralmente aceita como o melhor índice para avaliar a função renal (HARMOINEN, 2001; MUSSAP et al.,2002). “Clearances” de inulina e do Cr‑EDTA, entre outros, são marcadores exógenos considerados padrão‑ouro para estimar a TFG, porém requerem técnicas especializadas, invasivas e altos custos. Ao contrário, marcadores endógenos da filtração oferecem rápida, simples e barata estimativa da TFG no cenário clínico (HARMOINEN, 2001).
