Abstract

A emergência em torno da SARS-CoV-2, que precedeu a pandemia COVID-19 gerou um interesse fenomenal dos cientistas de todo o mundo no estudo de numerosos casos em torno de sistemas candidatos a vacinas. Entretanto, esse volume de estudos e seus resultados em tempo real, geraram, de um lado, muitas incertezas, e de outro, grandes vitórias, quando as conquistas no campo da COVID-19 foram tratadas com rigor científi co. Mesmo com os estudos científi cos progredindo muito rapidamente, as expectativas criadas em torno da vacina contra COVID-19, principalmente devido ao caráter emergencial, podem não corresponder com a realidade e a necessidade da humanidade; muitos desses estudos com candidatos a vacinas certamente não levarão a bom termo.
