Since SUS consolidation, the pharmacist was included in the public health system. The concept of pharmaceutical care brought professionals with wider functions. The pharmacist’s focus changed from the medication as central problem, to the a close relation with patients; however, strategies need to be established, in order to such skills become a routine for the pharmacist. Therefore, this work intended to identify and understand the limiting factors involved in health promotion activities of Primary Care’s pharmacists. For this purpose, a qualitative research with descriptive, explanatory investigation, based on the work of pharmacists at Public Basic Unities of Health with Family Strategy was carried on, by using semi-structured interview applied in a group of six pharmacists. We concluded that an approximation between the pharmacists and Public Health care is needed, passing through changes on training and management.Downloads
