Abstract
A microbiota vaginal é característica em mulheres pré e pós‑menarca, gestantes e pós‑menopausa. No feto a vagina é microbiologicamente estéril. Os primeiros microorganismos adquiridos são das mãos dos responsáveise das fezes na infância (SPIEGEL, 1991). Nas primeiras seis semanas de vida, o estrógeno maternal influencia no epitélio vaginal, gerando, com isso, uma microbiota com predominância de lactobacilos facultativos(SPIEGEL, 1991).Downloads
