Abstract

A ansiedade é um fenômeno conhecido pelo homem há milhares de anos. Não seria exagero dizer que esse sentimento foi um dos responsáveis pela sobrevivência da espécie humana na Terra. O medo do ataque de predadores e a constante expectativa dessa possibilidade levaram o homem a adotar estratégias eficazes de fuga ou enfrentamento, resultando na manutenção da espécie (HETEM &GRAEFF, 2004).
