The sample was constituted by 50 patients presenting Diabetes mellitus. They were randomly chosen through the medical handbooks. Each subject information was obtained by interview, through a structured questionnaire, during visit to the patient's home, accompanied by an Health Agent. Of the appraised individuals, 64% are women and 36% are men, all presenting diabetes type 2. The predominant age group was among 50 to 69 years. Anti-diabetic drugs were used by 96% of the patients and most of them affirmed to use one or more drugs besides the drugs anti-diabetic. Adverse reactions and drug interactions were reported by, respectively, 18% and 38% of the subjects.
